Most documentation platforms for MSPs are rented. You pay every month, often per technician, and the day you stop paying is the day you lose access to your own records.
IT Documented is planned the other way round. You buy it once and it is yours.
How it works
- One purchase gets you the software.
- A yearly maintenance plan brings you the updates.
- If you let the plan lapse, the software keeps working. You keep it.
- It runs on your own server, so your documentation lives where you decide. Hosting by us may be offered as an option.
What you give up
Fewer bells and whistles than the big platforms, and fewer integrations. That is the trade, and it is reflected in the price. For a small shop that mostly needs its documentation organised, findable and safe, we think it is the better deal.
Running it yourself also means you look after the server it runs on. We will tell you what it needs and help where we can.
